Lately

Hi there!  We've been busy little ones lately.  It's been hard to keep to my blog schedule that I wanted to try.  In the season of not having a puppy it was working fine, but since getting her, my early morning blog writings have been taken over by puppy sitting.  I'm going to aim to get two posts done a week, which should work in this season.  

The kids have been jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler a lot, but yesterday, they added water balloons.  So much more fun and they didn't pop as quickly.  Win win.

The kids did another baking challenge last week.  This time they made cookies.  In the challenge, they don't use a recipe, but have to create their own.

Both of their cookies turned out really well.  Sterling's were soft and fluffy while Xander's were full of flavor and soft, but not fluffy.  They did such a great job.  In the past they have always created cakes, where the first few times they never turned out.  The last cake the made actually turned out.  Now these cookies...they were shocked they turned out on their first try.

I ordered 3 bookcases that I wanted to use in the library that I'm putting together.  But, after putting the first one together was really disappointed.  They were so much smaller than I thought and the depth was also shorter than I wanted.  So, the kids got them.  

Sterling and I headed to Lowe's to pick up some tools and wood.  We made her a doll table and bench.

Virginia has so many crazy looking bugs here.  I freak out at least once a day.  I have an album in my photos that I labeled "bugging out VA"

It's been a slow process getting Lulu close to Ginger.  The first two days of having her, Lulu was curious of her.  Then she stayed far from her and wanted nothing to do with her.  Now, she's venturing closer and starting to play.  

I've had four of my appointments so far, so just one left, but that's at the end of the month.  One appointment came back normal, another came back as a watch, and the other I'm still waiting for results.  I'm just really glad to have these behind me and there's no major concern right now.

This week I'm getting my next delivery from Ikea and hopefully by the end of the weekend, I'll have the shelves put together and my library started.
