Hello, hello! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika again this week for another round of Friday Favorites. Gathering my weekly favorites is a post I look forward to lately. It's so fun looking back on the week.
We started the kids' math curriculum this week and I heard phrases I thought I'd never hear from my kids' mouths!
Why is this so fun?! - Sterling
Yeah, math should never be this fun! - Xander
I like how they don't trick me in this! - Sterling
(Look at my messy desk. I'm still working on portfolios. I'm finally on Xanders though and should be done today. A stack for Sterling. A stack for Xander. A stack of books for me. Oy vey!)
Spending time out in nature is always my favorite. Getting my boy on board is a work in progress but this week he said he's 85% liking it. So I'm winning right now.
I mean, look at this beautiful butterfly! It's a red-spotted Admiral.
Making my homeschool log for next school year was easy and will be so much easier to upload to our portfolio next May.
Gathering pictures for the portfolio and reminiscing of our fun trip to the Northeast was a favorite moment. I love reflecting on some of the fun memories with my little sidekicks. During this weeks hike, they talked about our trip and how they want to do another one. They're my favorite!
Today is day two of no Instagram for me. I'm starting June off right. This quote I found really speaks truth. I want to be present with this short amount of time I have with my kids. I was so glued to Instagram. Comparing myself with those that appear to have it all together. This little break will be great for my mind, body, and soul!
I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by.
It sounds like you are winning with the maths, my girls never called it fun!
ReplyDeleteI can take or leave Instagram now. I used to be obsessed even thought it always made me feel bad about my life seeing those who seem to have everything.
Math has been the hardest part of our homeschool. Finding what works has been trial and error.
