Life Update

 It's been awhile.

Let's take it back to December:

-Ginger had emergency surgery.  She ate one of the little dogs toy and it ended up getting stuck.

She was miserable.

She bounced back just in time for Christmas

-My parents moved in.  It's been nice seeing them fully retired and living their lives how they want.  Working on their hobbies and traveling when appointments are far enough apart.  While most people would be happy for them, there have been a few family members (not in this house!) really upset about the situation.  All I can think is it's out of jealousy, perceived favoritism, and not understanding.  I'm just so sick of all the hatred in the family.  There's a few that just need to grow up, think before they speak, and not everything is about them.  Some just drink too much.  Come on, people!

In January we were waiting, not so patiently, on getting my parents household goods.  They unfortunately used a company that didn't live up to the good ratings my mom heard about.  While we waited, my dad and I worked on making a Disney Cruise countdown.  It's amazing and we got to use it for our upcoming trip.

February started with our 7 night cruise.  Which was so much fun.  We went on a newer ship, Treasure, because it went to ports we hadn't been and wanted to go.  Sadly, we didn't prefer the newer ship.  We are Fantasy cruisers through and through!  We stopped at three ports and Disney's beach.  During our trip, our Bella dog decided that she hates being away from us and racked up $1200 (on top of the already overpriced boarding costs) in emergency vet bills while at the boarding hotel.  She's a twerp, yet, so loved.

No special celebrations on this trip, so we kept our door simple.

The only characters we haven't gotten so far

On our way home from that trip, we received a message that Nick should get to Texas to visit with his dad who hasn't been doing too well and wasn't expected to make it much longer.  Three nights after we got home, him and the kids headed out to visit with his dad.  I stayed home because now Lulu was sick from her kennel stay.

As they were headed back home, Nick received the message that his dad didn't make it through the night.

Two nights later, the four of us drove off to Texas to be with his family and get things in order.  It was a really hard and sad time.  His dad was so awesome and welcoming.  He was a man with great wisdom, advice, and a listening ear.  He will be greatly missed!

Now we're back home and have to get back to school, chores, life, and birthday season.
