Good morning! We're getting so close to Nick getting home. I'm trying to finish up all my last minute projects, and in the process I'm asking myself "why?" Why do I put so much pressure on myself? He's the perfectionist, and I'm the adventurist. I'm sure I'll get my list done, with a lot of complaining, a lot of late nights, and too many Straw-Ber-Rita's. We don't have an official date yet, but we know it's coming in the next 3 weeks because his one year is Oct 1st.
On the 1st day of fall I changed our chalk board. Some days I feel like life is truly a bunch of hocus pocus. Plus we've been watching Hocus Pocus for the past month and it's fitting.
We had weather in the 70s last week and it was glorious. It's back in the 90s and we're dreaming of the days when 70 and below comes and stays.
Although it's been a hot week, we've been spending the evenings outside. We've been getting tore up by the dang mosquito's and no-see-ums. Cold weather please come soon. Pretty please?
I had a few spaces painted. It's so nice to have that done.
We found a new park. It's a smaller park, but the kids loved this contraption.
I made my first homemade chicken pot pie. Why did I take 18 years to make this? It was so easy and so good! Now, I just need to buy an actual pie plate 😂 I found the recipe by Kate on Our Best Bites.
This girl is so kind and thoughtful. Have you heard of Eva Love? (hashtag evalove) She's the little girl all over Instagram over an accident she had a month ago on a golf cart. Every morning, every afternoon, and every night before bed, Sterling asks for an update of sweet little Eva. We've been praying hard for this little girl. She asked her Sunday School class to pray for her too. She's just the sweetest girl with the biggest heart.
Who's ready to watch A Million Little Things? ME ME ME!! I love fall TV. It's kind of the best. I'm even more excited that I'll have my favorite person sitting in bed watching with me this fall!
