He's Home!

Yesterday the kids and I started our day as normal.  We got up, dressed, ate breakfast, and headed out on our morning walk.  The kids have been riding their bikes while I walk Lulu and it works great except when the hills come around.  Sterling is not confident to ride down or up them.  I don't blame her on the up part, but man, riding down a hill is the best!  We do more walking the bike than riding.  Ugh.  Lulu rode in her little basket yesterday and that she was royalty.  She sat there like she knew what she was supposed to be doing.

About 5 minutes after getting cleaned up from our walk, I received a phone call from our local Harris Teeter.  I missed the call because I was getting ready to start school with the kids.  The CSM went on to say that there was a "huge problem with their machines yesterday and the transactions glitched, I was needed to come in and sign".  She also wanted me to call her back.  But me...nope, I just go up there.  There's too many scams going around, I'm not about to call any number back.  I didn't want a $1000 bill to china or something.  ha!  On our way, I kept thinking this was fake.  First, I didn't go shopping yesterday.  But, I did the day before.  Second, Nick hasn't been wanting to video call for the past two weeks.  Hello torture!  Finally, because I was second guessing their reason I checked our checking account.  Upon doing so, I noticed a transaction for gas this morning.  I didn't get gas, so either my card # was hacked or Nick was somewhere driving.

We get up to the store and we all walked in slowly thinking Nick was going to pop out from somewhere.  We talked about it on the way up to the store because I share my thoughts with my kids. Not always a bright idea either!  As I walk up to the customer service counter and ask for the lady that called, Sterling was watching a man pay for his groceries and saw Nick walking up.  She started jumping up and down.  I looked to see why she was acting so crazy and it was for good reason.  She saw her daddy!

But all this to say, I don't have one picture or video of him surprising us.  Or our first times seeing him.  So after we got home, I grabbed some pictures of him and the kids.

I hate surprises.  Hate them!  But, this surprise was a good one.  But, I still hate surprises, ha!
