Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving!  When some people see that you've decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving, you get some scuff.  That's alright with me.  You do you, and I'll do me.  While we were in a store last week, the kids really wanted an elf hat.  After we bought them, they immediately donned them.  We were standing in line somewhere else and a gentleman behind us commented how we skipped right over Thanksgiving.  Little did he know, we didn't.  We're still a thankful bunch over here.

The kids made thankful trees.  I loved how general they were this year.  I expected them to individual name things, like names of people or places, but they had their own ideas.

Sterling's tree

Xander's tree

We also read Mayflower 1620, a National Geographic book, which we all found it pretty interesting and full of fun facts.

Some things I'm thankful for are...

~Nick making it home safely.  I have my favorite person back.
~Xander taking his time to grow up.  He still loves to snuggle and gives the best morning greetings
~Sterling's wise self.  She's so eager to know all the things and do everything her mama does
~After a long and hard day, I'm thankful for tomorrow, a day to start fresh
~Coffee.  Really, during the school year, I can't survive without it
~A house to clean because it means I have a warm place to lay down at the end of a hard day
~Amazon.  Does it get any better?!
~Family, without them gatherings would be boring
~Friends, are always there for you when you need them most

Some things Nick is thankful for...
~my family
~time
~health
~hearing
~money in our pockets
~roofs over our heads

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!
