Elf fun days 1-12

As much of a pain it is to remember to move these two every night for 25 nights, it's worth it to see the kids light up every morning when they see what they're up to.  #thankyoupinterestfortheideas

Day 1:  They arrived earlier than they typically (Dec 1st) do, due to our traveling.  They showed up in Texas at Opa's house.  We didn't do our traditional arrival breakfast, but I have plans to do it on Christmas Eve this year.

They brought along Busby for Sterling.  Because she loves watching Outdaughtered on TLC so it was absolutely perfect!

Xander received Marcel.  The cutest pup ever!

Day 2:  They arrived in their traveling cups because we were headed home.  The kids received the traditional Lego advent calendars.

They loved having them in their cups so they could "hold" them during our trip.

Day 3:  They elves were watching from above them and brought them books to read on our second day getting home

Day 4: We found the elves reading books

With a note to have a great day back in school

And left them elf pencils in their stockings

Day 5: Blitz was holding Xander's little kid knife.  When Xander was 2.5, we have the cutest video of him using this knife for the first time.  So it was only practical to have Blitz holding it to bring back memories.

Since we're missing Lulu, Brittany was using Lulu's harness as a blanket

Day 6: Blitz found himself stuck and Brittany had to rescue him

Day 7: Magic was in the air

The kids sprinkled on their elf magic dust

Day 8:  They woke up to different eggs

Day 9:  The elves were hiding in the tree next to their initial ornaments

And brought gingerbread houses

Day 10:  Do you want to see a rainbow?

Xander really liked this one.

Day 11: Blitz is in trouble again

Day 12:  No picture.  Oops!  Brittany was hanging out in the washer while Blitz was snacking on fruit snacks in the pantry.

Do your kids believe in the elves?  I have one believer still and the other has had doubt since last year but this year she finally came clean and wanted the truth.  So we gave it to her.
Sterling is too wise for her own good.  Here's the rundown of how she figured it out.

~How did the elves get their cups from home all the way to Texas?
~Why did Xander's book have a Target sticker on it?  (I hate you Target!)
~Our neighbor stopped by and mentioned how her daughter received an elf in the mail but she was too afraid of it so they weren't going to put him out this year.
~The Joy eggs are in the store
~The gingerbread houses had an "at Target" logo on the box (I hate you Target!)
~I left an empty outfit box hidden in the closest one night and somehow she found it (Oops!).

With all of her discovery's, she wanted to know the truth claiming she knows.  So, I told her the truth after trying not to.  She's just too smart for her own good.  Now she gets the fun task of helping me come up with ideas for them.  And she gets to dress them.  Her favorite part!

I showed her the loot and she was excited!

She still believes in Santa though!  I'm still winning.
