Hello, hello. What a week!
Holy smokes, Ralphie! The steady-Eddie Keurig coffee machine hissed, smoked, and spat to a violent death. Then, who knew that adding a little sesame oil to white wine vinegar would be like a Breaking Bad moment....nearly starting a kitchen fire!
So, we bought a new Keurig and it has a latte option! My favorite.
Yum!
Yikes!
Did you know that military service members are all vegetarians? And all vegetarians are honored on Vegetarian's Day?! Xander was so serious when he was talking about this one night, until I busted out laughing. Then he figured it out and he meant to say all members of the military are veterans and are honored on Veterans Day. From the mouths of babes!
Our elves have been slacking. They're moving, but they haven't been too creative. Mama's tired.
School? We're all ready for a break! The past few weeks has been miserable with one kid whining and the other needing complete silence to complete work. We're still trying to figure this out. We're changing up curriculum and starting the week after Christmas rather than waiting for the new year. Kids need routine and mine thrive off the structure of our school days. So, no long break here.
Going to school with a stuffed animal makes it so much better
Using a smencil makes writing more fun. This jacket she wore all week. Whatever.
We went to the library and did a scavenger hunt I found off The Dating Diva's website. The kids loved it.
I wrapped presents. Now we just have to wrap the odds and ends that were bought this week.
I "waved" Sterling's hair so she was posing all day
We've had some great weather to enjoy some walks. A little fresh air always helps calm moods down too. Put your walking shoes on and get that fresh air!
I've been reading Teach Like Finland by Timothy D. Walker. I'm planning to implement some of his ideas into our classroom after Christmas break. With our struggles over the past month, I'm hoping some changes will make our days a little less stressful.
