Weekly Favorites

What a great week.  We had a big amazon order come in so we were able to assemble some things and get other things done around the house.

Today I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea for another week of favorites.

Teaching Sterling how to mow was definitely a favorite because it's going to help out so much having help.  Nick appreciates it when we take over his job, although, I know he really wants to do it.  But, he does so much with work and his commute.  So, we can take on this task.  And I actually really enjoy mowing.  Now Sterling does too.  Xander has zero interest in it, but I'm hoping he'll change his mind before the end of summer.

We ordered this temporary fence for the dogs and it's been awesome.  Bella is still unsure of leaving the house without a leash but Lulu's showing her the thrill of running rampant without a leash.  This will be a favorite of everyone when it's raining :)

Getting our driveway redone so now it's all level.

Grilled pizza is a favorite that we discovered last year, so breaking in the grill on the deck with pizza seemed appropriate.

Sitting on the deck enjoying the birds singing is my favorite.

Sterling is loving her new bed frame.  She'll get her mattress later today.

The kids and I are really excited to have fruit trees, plants, and flowers to take care of.  We bought a raspberry bush, blueberry bush, two grape vines, strawberries, watermelon, a lemon tree, and two hydrangeas.  We're gong to grow them in pots this year and next year after our backyard is done we'll plant them in the ground.  Next time we get a pineapple, we're going to plant the head in a pot as well.  We're taking botany to the next level :) Here we are planting them in the pots.  I still need to buy four pots and some soil.  We'll probably run out today to finish this project.

I made chicken shawarma Monday for dinner and had the leftovers last night and it was still oh. so, good!  Maybe even better.

We're also loving being on our break.  Are you on summer break yet?
