Friday Favorites

Good morning!  Y'all, how is Christmas in only 5 days?!  2019 went incredibly fast.  Which we are thankful for because it was also the toughest year yet.  Nick being out of the country for 12 months, parenting solo, and trying to stay sane was hard!  Really hard.  But Nick is home and we're all loving his presence.

We have an upcoming move ahead of us but we're stuck in limbo right now.  It sucks because it'd be really nice to know when we leave since we're still technically scheduled to leave in three weeks.  But at the same time we know {think} it's delayed.  Ugh.  So much anticipation on when and where we are going.  Are we still going to Italy?

It's been awhile since I've joined in on Friday Favorites, but there's no time better than today.

Nick and the kids have been playing the Wii a lot.  Sterling usually just watches, but this week she took a controller and played bowling against her daddy.  She killed him for it being her first time.  She got so many strikes!  We were all in awe of her skills.  I mean, look at her, she was our favorite entertainer this week.  She thought she was hot stuff.

We celebrated Nick's birthday last night.

He finally caught up to me, haha!  His favorite is letting me know that he can be the boss because he's older now, which he's not.  I don't think so!  I'm still the boss lady.

The concentration game was strong this week in school.  She's rocking math and ready to move to the next level.  We have some big changes after Christmas break to add into our school days.

This boy.  We're working so hard right now with self confidence.  He's brilliant working on math, but we have at least one day every week where he says he can't do something.  I remind him that he can and he's done it for the past two weeks, yada, yada.  When he throws fits, I make him do his assignments after school is over, and on his own (because he's already been instructed on how to do it).  It's amazing that he can finish his worksheets in less than 5 minutes after school, and correctly, but it takes 30 minutes of throwing a fit?!  Boy!  He's a wiz in math, I just wish he'd have more confidence in himself.

Our elves were playing our favorite game of Tenzi.  Have you tried this game?  It's so much fun and a lot of competition.

Our favorite elf mischief this week was when we found Blitz trying to rescue Brittany because she was stuck on the zipline.

Did you send out cards this year?  I didn't.  Time got away from me and then it was too late.  So, the kids sitting with Santa will have to work.

Merry Christmas and I'll see you in the New Year!
